By now you’ve probably heard that you can’t just buy a replacement tablet for $200 or $300 without having to pay for a battery or a charger.
You can’t, for example, just replace a $300 iPad Mini without the cost of an iPhone 8 Plus.
But how much does a replacement iPhone 8 make?
And it turns out you can, in a number of ways.
We looked at some of the major manufacturers and found some of their repair centers that will actually charge you for the repairs.
We also took a look at what AppleCare+ is like at each of the five major AppleCare outlets, and how you can get it.
If you need more help, check out our iPhone 8 repair guide.
You can buy the iPhone 8 directly from Apple.
If the AppleCare+, AppleCare++ or AppleCare Edition option is not available, you can buy a $10 discount for a replacement device from AppleCarePlus or Apple Store.
We used the same discount to get a replacement iPad Pro, which is $50 less than a $100 iPad.
If AppleCare is not the best deal for you, you should always contact AppleCare and see if they can offer you a better deal.
We used a variety of sites to find the cheapest prices, and we’ve added a few more options to this guide to make sure you get the best value.
You may need to order in bulk or pay with cash, but we found that most people can easily find a local repair center to get their phones repaired.
Here are the cheapest repair centers in your area.
The prices listed below are the same as the retail prices at the time of this writing.

You might be able to get your phone repaired at a different AppleCare center, too.
If you are having issues with the phone, you’ll want to contact the local AppleCare service center.
If they don’t have the iPad for repair, they might have other repair options, such as a repair from Apple’s AppleCareplus service center, which will include a replacement battery or charger.
AppleCare Plus offers a number if you buy a second iPad Pro in addition to a replacement.
You’ll need to pay a $50 discount for the second iPad Plus, but it’s worth the extra $10 for the first iPad Pro.
If AppleCare seems like the cheapest option, you might be eligible for a free repair if you call AppleCare at 1-800-921-5111.
You must call Apple Care to receive a repair, though.
If there’s an issue with your iPad, you won’t be able “rescued” by the repair service, but you’ll be reimbursed for your costs.
If this isn’t the case, you may need an AppleCare account, but AppleCare will reimburse you.
The repair center may have a repair fee if you’re a retailer, so you’ll need a retail credit card for the repair.
If it’s a service center that’s in your city, you could be eligible to get the repair for free if you get your phones repaired at their service center or online.
If not, you have to call Apple to get an account.
